Crowdfunding hit $34B in 2015 in funds raised. There are now thousands of sites running crowdfunding campaigns and it continues to grow exponentially. Originally, crowdfunding referred to rewards and prepayments found in sites such as Kickstarter and IndieGoGo. Today, new crowdfunding portals are popping up to support every sector and type of fund raise including debt, revenue-based funding, equity, rewards/prepayment, donation, intrastate, and soon the SEC approved JOBS act.

In this interactive presentation Hall Martin, Founder and CEO of the Texas Entrepreneur Networks (TEN), will review best practices for running a crowdfunding campaign including document preparation, network engagement, and time commitment. He will also cover the different types of crowdfunding models and will discuss which one is right for your deal or investment.

He will show how the various crowdfunding models work – in particular, what the crowdfunding portal will do for your raise and what you will do for the raise. We’ll also discuss the costs of each. Finally, we’ll tie it altogether with the TEN Funding Program which shows how one can start and grow a company by using each model of crowdfunding throughout your business growth.
