Dirty airport floors. Two beautiful babies. Six hour layover. *Cringe*…and so the Monkey Mat was born! After conversations between Christie Barany and Courtney Turich about a desire for a clean, portable surface for both kids (inspired by travel) and adults (camping, hiking, picnics, concerts) – and finding absolutely no solution on the market – they decided to create it themselves. Proudly partnering with Mark Cuban and Lori Greiner after an exciting Shark Tank swim, Monkey Mat Founders Christie and Courtney are on a mission to provide simple solutions to everyday problems and to make Monkey Mat a household name. They will discuss their transition from corporate medical device / biotech management to building a consumer goods business – including their Shark Tank experience, their biggest challenges and lessons learned (so far!), and their advice for anyone who has an idea and isn’t quite sure what to do next.
